The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has killed two suspected members of a bandit gang terrorizing residents of Abuja. Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, confirmed the development during a press briefing at the command headquarters on Wednesday.

Operation Details

CP Sanusi stated that he personally led the operation, which resulted in the neutralization of two suspects linked to recent criminal activities in parts of the capital. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to rid the FCT of armed criminal elements responsible for attacks and insecurity in surrounding communities.

Intelligence-Led Action

According to the police chief, officers acted on credible intelligence that led to a confrontation with the suspects. During the exchange, the two suspects were shot dead. The command assured residents that security operations across Abuja and its environs have been intensified, with further measures in place to track and dismantle remaining members of the gang.
