Popular comedian and content creator Ernest Tejeye, widely known as HK Chairman, has called on Nigerian youths to reject criminal activities and instead focus on hard work and lawful means of earning a living. He delivered this message during an event in Asaba commemorating the third anniversary of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's administration.
Emulating the Governor's Example
Tejeye urged young people to follow the governor's example, describing Oborevwori as someone who dedicated his early years to hard work and perseverance. He cautioned youths against engaging in armed robbery, kidnapping, drug abuse, and other social vices, emphasizing that true success comes only through determination, discipline, and lawful enterprise.
Personal Experience as a Lesson
The comedian shared his own journey, noting that his achievements and assets are the result of years of dedication and hard work, not criminal involvement. He stated that his properties and other accomplishments were attained through legitimate efforts and persistence.
HK Chairman also highlighted Oborevwori's political career, pointing out that the governor's rise to leadership was built on commitment, service, and diligence rather than shortcuts or unlawful means. He encouraged youths to embrace positive values, pursue productive ventures, and contribute meaningfully to society.
Commitment to Community Development
Tejeye further noted that Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated a commitment to the welfare of the people through strategic developmental projects aimed at improving living conditions across Delta State. Drawing from his personal experience and connections within the state—his roots are in Okpare-Olomu in Ughelli South Local Council and Okpara in Ethiope East Local Council—HK Chairman said he can personally attest to the positive impact of projects executed by the state government.
