Ondo Governor Details Foiled Bomb Plot at Government House

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has revealed how security operatives foiled an alleged plot to bomb the Ondo State Government House. The governor stated that the plan was uncovered through intelligence gathering, leading to the arrest of suspects and recovery of bomb-making materials.

Intelligence Reports Led to Foiled Attack

According to Governor Aiyedatiwa, intelligence reports received about three to four months ago alerted security agencies to suspicious activities involving youths allegedly plotting to attack the government house. The suspects initially lodged in a hotel before moving to a rented apartment, where they continued their plans.

Security operatives, including police personnel and the Amotekun Corps, acted on the intelligence. They raided the apartment, arrested the suspects, and recovered materials and equipment suspected to be linked to the bombing plot.
