According to Chiamaka, the man followed her all the way to a walking trail in a lonely part of Okpara Square, Independence Layout, where he began to masturbate. She recounted her experience on social media, expressing her shock and disgust.
“Went for a run this morning and this man followed me. He started saying all manner of things to me. What was my offense? I was just walking on the sidewalk, listening to music and being on my own,” she wrote.
“At a point he started threatening to rape me and all the things he’d do to me. He followed me until I walked to Okpara Square side, the place can be quiet lonely if you know that area. That was when he brought out his private parts. This is so traumatizing.”

Chiamaka expressed her distress, stating, “To see a stranger's private parts unprovoked this morning. To think I came out here to clear my head. Women are not safe out here. This is sad honestly. I feel so disgusted.”
