In a devastating security breach, gunmen suspected to be members of the Lakurawa terrorist group launched a fatal attack on a Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) checkpoint located in Bakin Ruwa, along the Maje border in Bagudu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The violent incident occurred under the cover of darkness, specifically around midnight on Thursday night, November 27, 2025. According to multiple local sources who spoke with Channels Television, the assailants carried out a surprise invasion, opening direct fire on the officers who were on duty.
