Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, the General Overseer of MFM, spoke during the midweek Manna Water Service, expressing deep concern for citizens affected by insecurity. He urged believers to seek divine intervention for the nation.
Olukoya's Sermon on Spiritual Warfare
In his sermon titled “Violent Spiritual Practices to Defeat Violent Problems,” the third in a teaching series, Olukoya emphasized that prayer remains a powerful weapon against difficult situations. He called on worshippers to pray earnestly for peace, justice, and the safety of all Nigerians.
NASFAT Condemns Insecurity, Announces Global Prayers
The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) also condemned the wave of insecurity across Nigeria, describing attacks on innocent citizens as tragic and alarming. In a statement, NASFAT expressed concern over the loss of lives, destruction of livelihoods, and the atmosphere of fear. The organization stressed that peace and security are vital for national development and urged all stakeholders to take urgent action. NASFAT announced that special prayers would be held at all its branches worldwide on Sunday.
Oyo State Interdenominational Prayer Gathering
Christian leaders, political appointees, and government officials in Oyo State gathered for a special prayer session seeking the safe release of abducted teachers and students. The interdenominational event at the Oyo State Government House Chapel included members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), aides of Governor Seyi Makinde, students, and worshippers from various denominations.
The collective prayers reflect a unified response to the security crisis, with religious and government leaders joining forces to call for divine intervention and national healing.
