A local vigilante group in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State has been accused of killing three individuals and subsequently presenting a weapon allegedly recovered from the scene after the incident.

Security sources informed Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred in Dusai Village on May 26, 2026, following a confrontation linked to suspected terrorist activities in the area. According to the sources, members of the vigilante group apprehended the three persons, who were initially reported to be unarmed at the time of their arrest.
Allegations of Extrajudicial Action
The sources further alleged that the individuals were later found dead under circumstances that raised concerns among security stakeholders in the area. It was also gathered that the vigilantes subsequently presented a locally fabricated AK-47 rifle and a motorcycle, which they claimed were recovered from the suspects.
