A close friend of Kevin Latif Ayodele, a key associate of boxer Anthony Joshua, has posted their final video together, offering a raw and emotional perspective on the public's reaction to his tragic death.
The Tragic Accident and Its Aftermath
Kevin Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, two close associates of Nigerian-born boxing champion Anthony Joshua, lost their lives in a devastating road accident. The crash occurred on a major road in Ogun State on December 29, 2025. The vehicle carrying the three men and a driver collided with a stationary truck.
Anthony Joshua sustained minor injuries in the incident. Due to the unavailability of an immediate ambulance, he was transported to a hospital in a police vehicle. Latif and Ghami were later laid to rest in London on January 4, 2026, with Joshua in attendance at the burial ceremony.
A Final Memory and a Heartfelt Lament
Following the funeral, the friend, identified on Instagram as @chakabars, uploaded a video from their last workout session with Latif. In a poignant caption, he expressed his grief and a profound sense of frustration at the public's behavior.
He wrote, "Rest in peace. Fam tbh I'm angry that people only really be paying attention when people d*e, don't value people when they are alive, just ignore them." He praised Latif, also known as @healthy_mindset, as a "solid brother" who was consistently supportive and engaged in humanitarian work.
The friend highlighted the irony of seeing millions of people now liking Latif's social media posts after his passing. "It makes me vex that you can't just appreciate people when they are here," he stated, noting the influx of calls he has received since the tragedy became public.
Public Reaction to the Emotional Post
The post resonated deeply with many online users, sparking reflections on human nature. User @ad_pyt commented, "Like many I didn't know of these 2 brothers until their passing. It's so sad they seemed to be loved by many. RIP."
Another user, @holat, offered a philosophical view: "Most human beings are walking around unconscious. So one of the few experiences that reminds people they are human, is when another passes." Meanwhile, @logik_official pointed out a deeper issue, stating, "Why are you surprised? Most people don't even value themselves, the species they come from or even life itself, truly."
The incident has cast a shadow over the boxing community, prompting conversations about loss, recognition, and the value of showing appreciation for people while they are still alive.
