PAC Foundation Launches 4th Girls Can Code Cohort

The PanAfrican Capital Foundation (PAC Foundation) has officially launched the fourth cohort of its Girls Can Code (GCC) program, reinforcing its commitment to empowering young women with essential digital skills for the future workforce. The onboarding ceremony took place on April 24, 2026, welcoming 30 exceptional participants selected from over 1,000 applicants.

Partnership with NextQuantum Academy

For this cohort, PAC Foundation has partnered with NextQuantum Academy as the Technical Delivery Partner. This collaboration leverages the academy's expertise to provide high-quality training and mentorship throughout the 12-week program.

Training Tracks

Participants will be trained in two high-demand technology fields: Data Analysis and Cybersecurity, with 15 participants in each track. The program combines intensive instruction with flexible learning to equip young women with practical technical knowledge and industry-relevant skills.

Onboarding and Program Structure

The onboarding session introduced participants to the program structure, expectations, and learning journey. They were guided through the Learning Management System (LMS) that will support their training. The event also facilitated networking among participants, coaches, and facilitators, and highlighted PAC Foundation's mission.

Career Readiness Session

A key feature of Cohort 4 is a Career Readiness Session scheduled midway through the training. This session will provide insights into employability, workplace preparedness, and career growth pathways, helping participants transition into the tech workforce.

Commitment to Closing the Gender Gap

PAC Foundation remains dedicated to bridging the gender gap in technology by creating opportunities for young women to thrive in digital careers. The Girls Can Code program continues to serve as a transformative platform, building confidence and unlocking new possibilities in the tech ecosystem.

The foundation is optimistic that all 30 participants will complete the program and celebrate their achievements at a graduation ceremony at the end of the 12 weeks.
