Beta Glass Plc Reports N37.5 Billion Revenue at 52nd AGM

Beta Glass Plc held its 52nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Lagos, where the company reported a revenue of N37.5 billion for the financial year ended December 31, 2025. This represents a significant increase from the previous year's N30.2 billion, driven by robust demand for glass packaging products across key sectors including beverages, food, and pharmaceuticals.

The company's profit after tax rose to N4.8 billion, compared to N3.6 billion in the prior year, reflecting improved operational efficiency and cost management. Earnings per share increased from 120 kobo to 160 kobo, providing enhanced returns to shareholders.

Board Renewal and Strategic Direction

Chairman of the Board, Chief Adebayo Ogunlesi, announced the appointment of three new independent directors: Mrs. Funke Osibodu, Mr. Kunle Elebute, and Dr. Yemi Osinbajo. The renewals aim to strengthen corporate governance and bring fresh perspectives to the board's strategic oversight. "These appointments are part of our commitment to world-class governance and sustainable growth," Ogunlesi stated during the AGM.

The board also approved a dividend payout of N1.20 per share, totaling N2.4 billion, representing a 20% increase over the previous year's dividend.

Growth Trajectory and Market Expansion

Managing Director, Mr. Jean-Marc Tassetto, outlined the company's growth strategy, focusing on capacity expansion and geographic diversification. Beta Glass is investing N15 billion in a new furnace line at its Agbara plant, expected to increase production capacity by 40% by Q3 2027. The company also plans to enter the West African market, targeting Nigeria's neighboring countries.

"Our strong revenue performance reflects our ability to meet growing demand while maintaining quality. We are confident in our growth trajectory," Tassetto said. The company's market share in Nigeria's glass packaging industry stands at 65%, according to industry data.

Shareholder Reactions and Outlook

Shareholders expressed satisfaction with the company's performance, with the National Association of Shareholders commending the board for transparency and value creation. The company's share price has appreciated by 35% year-to-date, closing at N45.50 on the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

Looking ahead, Beta Glass plans to explore renewable energy sources to reduce production costs and carbon footprint. The company is also piloting a recycling initiative, targeting 30% recycled content in its products by 2028.
