A significant step toward eliminating substandard plumbing materials in Nigeria's construction sector has been taken through a new partnership between Kazeem Royal Properties and Constructions Ltd and the Association of Professional Plumbers of Nigeria (APPN).
Partnership Formalized in Lagos
The collaboration was announced during the inauguration ceremony of APPN's national executives in Lagos. Chief Executive Officer of Kazeem Royal Properties, Kazeem Eletu, emphasized the critical need for durable and genuine plumbing materials in building projects across the country.
Dangers of Substandard Products
Eletu warned against the risks posed by substandard products, urging the construction industry to prioritize quality. The event gathered key stakeholders, government officials, and construction professionals.
Kazeem Royal Properties produces over 40 categories of plumbing products used in real estate, construction, manufacturing, and technology sectors. Represented by Chief Operating Officer Ibraheem Babayeju, Eletu stated that the appointment would strengthen collaboration between manufacturers, professionals, and policymakers.
Commitment to Sector Development
“This appointment reinforces our dedication to the development of Nigeria’s plumbing sector,” Babayeju said. “We see it as an opportunity to deepen collaboration between manufacturers, professionals, and policymakers to ensure quality and sustainability in our infrastructure.”
Eletu noted that the partnership would improve standards by ensuring skilled professionals work with certified and durable materials. He commended APPN for professionalizing plumbing through certification, training, and the fight against quackery.
Ministerial Endorsement
Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Iziaq Salako, highlighted that partnerships between industry players and professional bodies are critical to improving infrastructure and public health standards.
As National Adviser of APPN, Eletu will provide strategic guidance on best practices, technology adoption, and capacity building to reposition Nigerian plumbers for global competitiveness.
