Presken Hotels has marked a significant milestone, celebrating its tenth anniversary alongside the birthday of its Chairman, Mr. Kadiri Momoh. The occasion was highlighted by the launch of Presken Cares, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) foundation that underscores the company's dedication to sustainable community development and social inclusion.
Presken Cares: A New Pillar of Community Engagement
Presken Cares is designed to be a cornerstone of the hotel chain's business operations and community outreach. The initiative formalizes the organization's longstanding commitment to social responsibility, which has previously included various charitable causes and community projects. The Managing Director of Presken Hotels, Mr. Pius Obaje, emphasized that the foundation will focus on touching lives, providing assistance, and restoring hope to the less privileged and vulnerable members of society.
Leadership Vision and Community Outreach
Mr. Obaje noted that the initiative aligns with the vision of Chairman Kadiri Momoh, whose leadership has guided the hotel group's growth over the past decade while emphasizing the importance of giving back to society. As part of the launch activities, Mr. Obaje led the management team on outreach visits to several beneficiary communities and institutions across Lagos. These included Bethesda Home for the Blind in Surulere, Little Saints Orphanage in Ogudu, and the Makoko community in Yaba, where they donated food items, household essentials, and other relief materials.
Impact and Future Goals
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful. The donations brought smiles to many faces and reinforced the importance of corporate organizations partnering with communities to address social challenges. Beyond hospitality services, Presken Hotels seeks to create lasting positive change by supporting education, healthcare, welfare programs, and other initiatives that empower vulnerable groups.
