Qoray Mobility & Energies Ltd (QORAY) has formally introduced its founding Executive Leadership Team, marking a significant step in Nigeria's clean energy and sustainable mobility sector. The company, which operates across Nigeria, announced the leadership team that has already driven the deployment of over 2,150 electric vehicles, more than 7MWh of decentralised solar systems, and over ₦20 billion in clean energy assets across the country.

Founding Leadership Team Announced

The team is led by Founder and Chief Executive Officer Olabanjo Alimi, alongside Co-Founders Akinkunmi Akingbogun, who serves as Vice President of Mobility, and Ayo Falola, Vice President of Renewable Energy. According to the company, the executives bring decades of combined experience from Nigeria's financial, energy, and mobility sectors.

Olabanjo Alimi, the CEO, previously served as Divisional Head of Renewable Energy & Mobility at Sterling Bank and as COO and Executive Director at Eterna PLC. His career also includes leadership roles at Enyo Retail & Supply and Oando Marketing (now NNPC Retail), where he managed portfolios exceeding USD 400 million. Alimi stated: "Our mission is to drive Africa’s transition to clean energy and sustainable mobility through community, innovation, and partnerships. QORAY exists to power progress sustainably and inclusively."

Key Milestones Achieved

Under the leadership of the founding team, QORAY has achieved several notable milestones. These include the deployment of over 2,150 locally assembled electric vehicles across Nigeria, installation of over 7MWh of decentralised solar systems, and mobilisation of over ₦20 billion in clean energy and mobility assets. The company also operates Nigeria's largest network of EV charging and battery-swap stations and established the country's first publicly accessible EV charging station.

Additionally, QORAY has trained over 100 local technicians under its Green Upskill programme and launched Cabzero, Nigeria's first all-electric B2B leasing and ride-hailing platform, which has scaled to over 100 EVs. The company reports that over 180.8 metric tons of carbon emissions have been reduced through electric mobility adoption.

Executive Profiles: Experience and Vision

Akinkunmi Akingbogun, Co-Founder and Vice President of Mobility, is an engineer with over two decades of experience in engineering, energy, banking, and leadership development. He holds degrees in Civil Engineering, Water & Environmental Engineering, and Business Marketing, and has completed the Senior Management Programme at Lagos Business School. A COREN-certified engineer, Akingbogun previously held leadership roles at OVH Energy and Sterling Bank, where he served as Group Head of Mobility & Projects, Renewable Energy. Under his leadership, QORAY's flagship Electric Teak tricycle achieved a Guinness World Record by covering 347.11 kilometres in 12 hours. He commented: "Our focus at QORAY is creating accessible mobility solutions that redefine how Africa moves — sustainably, efficiently, and affordably."

Ayo Falola, Co-Founder and Vice President of Renewable Energy, brings over 14 years of experience in banking, energy, logistics, and renewable sectors. He leads the Renewable Energy Division, focusing on energy financing, decentralised system deployment, and partnerships that expand access to clean power. Falola has led the deployment of over 7MWh of distributed solar systems across Nigeria, with a strong focus on SMEs and underserved communities. He stated: "We’re proving that sustainability and profitability are not opposites; they’re partners in progress. QORAY is where innovation meets impact."

Strategic Partnerships and Future Outlook

QORAY collaborates with financial institutions including Sterling Bank Ltd, The Alternative Bank, and the Development Bank of Nigeria, alongside technology partners and government agencies. The company aims to expand clean mobility and renewable energy access across Africa, creating opportunities for investors, entrepreneurs, and local communities. The founding team's conviction is that Africa's clean energy transition must be led by Africans, built for African communities, and scaled through homegrown enterprise.
