The 12th Nigeria Transport Lecture is scheduled to take place on June 18 in Lagos, with Dr Segun Musa, a renowned transport and logistics expert, appointed as Chairman. The annual event, organized by Transport Day, will explore the theme: 'Multi-modal Transportation Safety in Nigeria: Prospects, Challenges and Contribution to National Growth.'
Keynote Speaker and Participants
Mr Kingsley Igwe, Registrar of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), will deliver the keynote address. Other notable speakers include the National President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation (CILT), Boboye Oyeyemi, and the Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Joseph Osanipin.
Event Objectives
Frank Kintum, Editor of Transport Day Media, stated that the lecture aims to bring together policymakers, regulators, industry operators, academics, and stakeholders to discuss transportation safety, policy reforms, and strategies for improving Nigeria's multi-modal transport system. He emphasized the importance of addressing safety across road, rail, maritime, and air transport systems as investments in infrastructure increase.
