Super Eagles defender Ola Aina is facing a race against time to be fit for Nottingham Forest's UEFA Europa League second leg tie against Aston Villa, scheduled for tomorrow.
Aina Misses Training
According to Sky Sports, the Nigerian international missed Nottingham Forest's training session yesterday as the team intensified preparations for the crucial European fixture.
Aina sustained the injury during the first leg at home, which Nottingham Forest won 1-0. He also missed the team's 3-1 away victory at Chelsea over the weekend.
Potential Impact on Super Eagles
The former Torino star is also a doubt for the Super Eagles' Unity Cup campaign later this month. Coach Eric Chelle's side will begin their title defence on May 26 against India, Jamaica, and Zimbabwe in London.
Nottingham Forest will be hoping Aina recovers in time, as they look to secure their place in the next round of the Europa League.
