Global vape brand ELFBAR announced today that four products from its reusable pod system lineup have been honored by the German Design Award and the International CMF Design Awards. The recognized devices are the ELFX Mini, ELFX 2, ELFA Master Stein, and the ELFA pod system.

The German Design Award, organized by the German Design Council, named the ELFX Mini and the ELFA Master Stein as 2026 winners. The International CMF Design Awards, which evaluate excellence in color, material, and finish, recognized the ELFA Master Stein and the ELFX 2. The ELFX Mini and the ELFA Master Stein are now available in Germany.
Design Philosophy
Each device features a restrained visual language with subdued color palettes, minimal branding, and contoured shapes for one-handed use. The ELFA Master Stein, inspired by European stein vessels, uses a textured casing that references stoneware and glass heritage. Becky Liu, Head of Industrial Design at ELFBAR, said, "Good design should feel confident, not loud. With ELFX and ELFA, we focus on a clean-cut form, precision, and a calm material touch-feel to bring an elegant and intuitive user experience."
Engineering Features
The devices share practical features: magnetic pods that click into place, visible e-liquid levels, status displays, adjustable airflow and power settings, and modular construction for easy replacement. The ELFX 2 introduces the new ELFX POD 2.0 cartridge with a child lock, upgraded airway for richer flavor, and a 5A leakproof system.
Market Context
ELFBAR leads the German pod system category with about 60% market share. Prefilled and refillable products now account for 80% of shipments to Germany, moving away from single-use formats. This aligns with European regulatory focus on reusability and waste reduction.
Future Plans
ELFBAR plans to introduce the award-winning designs to other European markets, with the ELFX 2 launching in Germany in June 2026. Specific dates and pricing will be confirmed per market.
