LASAA Launches Digital Directory and One App to Simplify Advertising in Lagos
LASAA Launches Digital Directory, One App for Ads

The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has introduced a digital directory for practitioners and billboard assets, along with the LASAA One App, to simplify advertising services in the state.

Digital Backbone for OOH Advertising

Fatiu Akiolu, Managing Director of LASAA, announced the launch yesterday, stating that the initiative provides a digital backbone for the growing Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising sector. “For years, the Out-of-Home landscape has grown in scale and complexity. What we introduce today is a digital backbone that brings structure to that growth,” he said.

Akiolu explained that the digital directory and the app translate regulation into a searchable and transparent system where practitioners can be clearly identified, assets verified, and engagement with the agency made simpler and faster. The directory serves as a credible register of practitioners and advertising assets across the state, while the app gives stakeholders access to LASAA’s services anytime and anywhere.

According to him, the platform promotes transparency, accountability, and service efficiency by providing a single source of truth for practitioners, advertisers, media buyers, regulators, and the public.

Deadline for Asset Listing

The LASAA MD also announced that practitioners have until May 15, 2026, to list and validate their billboard assets on the platform. He warned that any unlisted asset after the deadline would be considered illegal and subject to regulatory action. He added that the system empowers stakeholders to ensure their assets are properly documented and compliant, while reducing disputes and strengthening professionalism in the sector.

Transition to Digital Processes

Also speaking, Temitope Akande, Head of Client Service and Registration, said the initiative was driven by the need for more precise, transparent, and efficient regulation in a fast-growing megacity like Lagos. Akande noted that the new system replaces paper-based processes with a data-driven, digitally visible, and system-led approach. He added that the digital directory creates, for the first time, a single authoritative database of practitioners and billboard assets, eliminating ambiguity and enabling better regulation.
