The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially launched the Hajj Companion App, a digital platform aimed at enhancing the pilgrimage experience for Nigerian Muslims. The app provides GPS navigation, multilingual guides, and real-time assistance to ensure safety, convenience, and spiritual fulfillment during Hajj.
Key Features of the Hajj Companion App
The app includes a GPS navigation system that helps pilgrims locate their tents and important holy sites in Makkah, Mina, and Madinah. This feature is designed to reduce confusion and improve coordination during the pilgrimage. Additionally, the app offers a comprehensive Hajj guide in Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo, making it accessible to pilgrims from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
Real-Time Support and Complaint System
NAHCON has integrated a 24/7 call centre into the app for real-time assistance. A built-in complaint system allows users to report issues or emergencies directly from their mobile devices. These features underscore the Commission's commitment to improving service delivery and responsiveness during the pilgrimage period.
Encouraging Widespread Adoption
NAHCON urges all intending pilgrims to download the app by scanning the official QR code provided in its communication materials. The Commission also calls on stakeholders and the public to share information about the app as preparations intensify for a smooth and successful pilgrimage exercise.
