Oman's Foreign Ministry has officially confirmed that only citizens of five Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states are exempt from visa requirements when travelling to the country in 2026. Which Countries Are on Oman's Visa-Free List?
According to the official list released by the Omani Foreign Ministry, the five countries whose citizens can enter Oman without a visa are: the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. These five GCC member states are the only countries whose nationals enjoy visa-free access to Oman.
How Other Nationalities Can Apply for an Oman Visa
For visitors from all other countries, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) is the sole authority responsible for handling visa applications and entry requirements. Travellers who do not hold citizenship of any of the five listed GCC states must check their individual visa eligibility and submit applications through the ROP's official eVisa portal. The eVisa platform allows applicants to determine the appropriate visa type for their nationality before beginning the application process.
