UAE 60-Day Single-Entry Visa: Processing Fee, Urgent Cost, Duration Explained
UAE 60-Day Single-Entry Visa: Fees, Urgent Cost, Duration

The United Arab Emirates has announced the official processing fees for its 60-day single-entry visit visa, offering two distinct pricing tiers based on how quickly applicants need their travel documents. Standard processing costs $325 (approximately N436,026), while the urgent option is priced at $375 (approximately N503,107.50).

Visa Validity and Entry Rules

The 60-day single-entry visa permits foreign nationals to enter the UAE once and remain in the country for up to 60 days from the date of arrival. However, the visa document itself is valid for only 60 days from the date it is issued, meaning travellers must complete their entry into the UAE within that issuance window or risk losing the visa entirely.

Once inside the country, visa holders can move freely between all seven emirates for the full duration of their stay. The single-entry nature of the visa, however, means that any departure from the UAE – even for a short side trip to a neighbouring country – immediately terminates the visa's validity. Re-entry on the same visa is not permitted under any circumstances.

Processing Times and Cost Breakdown

Standard visa processing takes between one and three working days. For applicants who need faster turnaround, the urgent processing option delivers results within 36 hours on business days, but at an additional cost of $50 over the standard fee.

The 60-day stay window begins from the date of arrival, not the date the visa is issued. This gives applicants some flexibility in planning their travel dates. Nevertheless, because the visa expires 60 days after issuance, travellers who delay their departure risk entering the UAE with fewer days remaining than they originally planned.

When Urgent Processing Is Essential

According to reports from Legit.ng, the UAE government has outlined specific situations where choosing urgent visa processing is not just convenient but essential for travellers. Non-refundable bookings such as cruises, weddings, and conferences are among the key reasons the UAE flagged for urgent processing.

For travellers planning trips that involve time-sensitive commitments or prepaid arrangements, the urgent processing option provides a safety net. The higher fee ensures the visa is issued within a shorter timeframe, reducing the risk of missing critical travel dates.

The new fee structure and processing timelines give prospective travellers a clearer picture of what to expect before applying. Understanding the difference between standard and urgent processing, as well as the strict entry and exit rules, is essential for avoiding costly mistakes during the application process.
