EKEDP Launches Power App to Enhance Customer Control and Service Delivery
EKEDP Launches Power App for Customer Control

Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDP) has introduced the EKEDP Power App, a digital platform designed to give customers greater control, visibility, and convenience in managing their electricity consumption. The app allows users to purchase electricity tokens, pay bills, transfer units, monitor energy usage, manage service requests, and access multiple electricity services through a single platform.

Simplifying Electricity Management

According to the company, the initiative aims to simplify electricity management for consumers in Lagos and surrounding areas by reducing delays and fragmented processes often associated with power service delivery. In a statement jointly signed by Ejiro Olaleye, Head of Department, Client and MDA Management, and Olumide Jerome, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Operations Strategy and Corporate Development, EKEDP emphasized that the application goes beyond standard digital platforms currently available in the electricity distribution sector.

Olaleye stated that the platform was developed to help customers actively manage their electricity consumption with greater confidence and efficiency. “With the EKEDP Power App, customers move from simply using electricity to actively managing their power with greater confidence and control,” she said. She encouraged customers within the company’s coverage areas to adopt the platform to better track and manage their power usage.

Expanding Digital Solutions

The launch comes as electricity distribution companies continue to expand digital solutions following the unbundling of the former National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) and the subsequent creation of regional distribution companies. EKEDP provides electricity distribution services across the southern part of Lagos State and Agbara in Ogun State. Its operational network is divided into 12 districts, including Agbara, Ojo, Festac, Ijora, Mushin, Orile, Apapa, Lekki, Ibeju, Islands, Ajah, and Ajele.

Customers across these districts are expected to benefit from the new digital solution as the company pushes to improve customer experience and operational efficiency. The EKEDP Power App represents a significant step forward in empowering consumers and streamlining service delivery in the electricity sector.
