Firms Support Financial Inclusion Drive with Integrated Solutions
Nigeria's financial services sector is experiencing a significant shift towards gender-focused products and engagement strategies, as institutions ramp up efforts to close the financial inclusion gap and unlock the economic potential of women. In this context, Heirs Insurance Group and United Capital Plc have deepened their collaboration to promote financial wellness among women through an initiative that merges financial education with lifestyle engagement.
Yoga and Money Meet Up Highlights Partnership
The partnership was showcased at a 'Yoga and Money Meet Up' event held in Lagos, where participants engaged in guided wellness sessions alongside expert-led discussions on insurance, investment, and asset protection. Analysts noted that this initiative reflects a broader industry trend towards experiential marketing and tailored financial solutions, as operators move beyond traditional offerings to better engage underserved segments, particularly women.
Ifesinachi Okoli Okpagu, Chief Marketing Officer of Heirs Insurance Group, emphasized that the programme is designed to address the unique realities faced by women, who often balance multiple responsibilities while striving for financial security. She stated, "Self-care is not just about indulgence; it is about making deliberate choices that safeguard one's physical, mental, and financial well-being, and insurance is fundamental to that."
Tailored Products and Financial Empowerment
As part of the initiative, Heirs Insurance introduced its HerMotor plan, a product specifically tailored for female motorists. This plan offers coverage against accidents, fire, and theft, and includes emergency roadside support through a partnership with AA Rescue. Odiri Oginni, Managing Director of United Capital Asset Management, highlighted that the collaboration aligns with the company's broader commitment to empowering women financially.
She explained that financial independence and personal well-being are closely interconnected, adding that the firm's women-focused investment solutions are crafted to provide accessible pathways to wealth creation. This integrated approach aims to foster a holistic environment where women can achieve both financial stability and personal health.
The efforts by Heirs Insurance Group and United Capital Plc underscore a growing recognition within Nigeria's financial sector of the need for innovative, gender-sensitive strategies to enhance financial inclusion and drive economic growth among women.
