Oyedele's appointment comes after his nomination by President Tinubu to fill the position previously held by Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, who has been reassigned to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning. Prior to this nomination, Taiwo Oyedele served as the chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, where he played a pivotal role in reviewing and modernising Nigeria's tax framework as part of broader federal economic reform initiatives. A 50-year-old native of Ikaram-Akoko in Ondo State, Oyedele is an accomplished economist, accountant, and public policy expert with a robust educational background.
