Africa Prudential Plc has reinforced its commitment to growth and digital transformation during its H1 2026 investor call, highlighting a 25% increase in revenue to N4.5 billion compared to the same period last year. The company's Managing Director, Obinna Ike, attributed the performance to strategic investments in technology and process automation.
Financial Performance Highlights
The company recorded a profit before tax of N1.2 billion, representing a 30% year-on-year growth. Earnings per share rose to N 1.50, up from N1.10 in H1 2025. Ike noted that the company's focus on innovation and customer-centric solutions has significantly enhanced operational efficiency.
Digital Transformation Initiatives
Africa Prudential has accelerated its digital agenda, launching a new mobile app and upgrading its core banking platform. The company invested over N500 million in technology infrastructure during the first half of the year. “Our digital transformation is not just about technology but about redefining how we serve our customers,” Ike said.
Market Expansion and Outlook
The company plans to expand its presence in West Africa, with a particular focus on Ghana and Sierra Leone. It also intends to introduce new insurance products tailored to underserved segments. Ike expressed confidence in achieving double-digit growth for the full year, driven by digital adoption and operational excellence.
