Bloom Conversations 3.0 Empowers Corporate Women to Lead with Integrity and Ownership

An exclusive gathering for professional women, The Bloom Conversations with Sola, recently held its third edition in Lekki, Lagos, creating a safe space for 40 women from diverse corporate sectors to focus on personal and career advancement. Founded in 2023 by Oluwasola Obagbemi, this invitation-only initiative aims to support women in navigating the challenges of modern work-life balance by building a community based on shared experiences and providing actionable strategies for success in demanding professional environments.

Wealth Creation and Ownership Mindset

Mojisola Hunponu-Wosu, Founder and President of Woodhall Capital, delivered a powerful session on wealth creation for corporate women. She emphasized the need for women to shift from "income thinking" to "ownership thinking." Hunponu-Wosu stated, "For too long, the corporate narrative for women has been centered on climbing the ladder for a better paycheck. To build a lasting legacy, women must move beyond the safety of a salary and embrace the mindset of an owner." She highlighted that such gatherings are crucial for learning about holistic stability, true wealth, and long-term independence, encouraging women to become stakeholders in the economy rather than just participants.

Character Building in Corporate Environments

Moroti Adedoyin-Adeyinka, Executive Director of Financial Strategy at Sahara Group, praised the initiative and offered a tactical roadmap for thriving in complex corporate settings. Her session focused on the intersection of hard work and character development. Adedoyin-Adeyinka noted, "Conversations like these are of the utmost importance for young corporate women because success in a complex world isn’t just about navigating the room; it’s about the substance you bring into it." She stressed that while hard and smart work is essential, character serves as the compass for breaking through barriers, urging women to prioritize integrity alongside technical skills.

Long-Term Vision and Community Impact

Convener Oluwasola Obagbemi opened the event by outlining the initiative's long-term vision. She explained, "The Bloom Conversations is creating a pipeline of women who are not only technically proficient but also emotionally and socially equipped to handle the pressures of the corporate world without losing their sense of self. Women are not made to be just one thing; women are made for more." This edition built on the success of previous gatherings, which featured notable speakers like Folake Soetan, CEO of Ikeja Electric, and Adenike Macaulay, CEO of Wakanow, in the 2.0 edition, as well as Audrey Joe-Ezigbo, Folake Sanu, and Nkiru Olumide-Ojo in the inaugural event.

The event's success was bolstered by various partnerships, reflecting a growing corporate recognition that investing in female talent is not only a social good but a necessity for national economic growth. As International Women’s Month 2026 concludes, The Bloom Conversations remains dedicated to fostering a supportive community where women can thrive, share experiences, and lead with confidence, continuing to inspire corporate women across Nigeria.
