Daniel Amokachi Named 22Bet Pan-African Brand Ambassador

Nigerian football legend Daniel Amokachi, known as “The Bull,” has been officially unveiled as 22Bet’s Pan-African Brand Ambassador at a ceremony held at BON Hotels, GRA Ikeja, Lagos. The former Super Eagles star joins a distinguished roster of African football icons collaborating with 22Bet, including Togo’s Emmanuel Adebayor and Kenya’s Victor Wanyama.

Partnership Focused on Community Impact

The partnership is strategically oriented toward community development, grassroots football, and creating pathways for young talent across the continent. Amokachi, who clinched the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations and Olympic gold at Atlanta 1996, emphasized that this collaboration transcends a typical endorsement deal.

“I am delighted to join the 22Bet family. This is not an ordinary relationship but a relationship that is designed to make a positive impact on the lives of people in Nigeria and the whole of Africa,” Amokachi stated. “It is gratifying to make an impact on the lives of your own people, especially through football, which gave me a lot as a footballer. This is a family relationship, so I am happy to join and look forward to making an impact on the lives of people.”

Why 22Bet Chose Amokachi

Speaking at the unveiling, 22Bet Nigeria’s leadership elaborated on why Amokachi was the ideal choice for the role. Oluwafemi Olobayo, Operations Manager at 22Bet Nigeria, remarked, “We are happy that Daniel Amokachi has agreed to join the 22Bet family to support our CSR programmes while we also support his programmes so we can make an impact on needy communities while also using his platform to unveil new football talents for Nigeria and beyond. Amokachi is a highly respected football figure in Nigeria and Africa, and he is the right person for this role.”

Ogunfuye Fikayo, Country Manager at 22Bet Nigeria, added, “We are delighted to have Daniel Amokachi on board as our Pan-African Ambassador. It is more than this, as Daniel Amokachi is joining 22Bet to be part of the family. We are keen on making a positive impact on society not just in Nigeria but across Africa. As former captain of the Nigeria national football team, Amokachi has demonstrated a strong winning mentality and leadership skills which we are tapping into to make an impact on society through our mutual CSR programmes. We have the right person and profile for the task ahead.”

Planned Initiatives and Grassroots Development

The collaboration is expected to support football clinics, youth talent identification, and community programs that provide young players with access to coaching, mentorship, and opportunities that might otherwise be unavailable. This initiative aligns with 22Bet’s broader commitment to social responsibility across the continent.

For many fans, Amokachi’s journey—from the streets of Kaduna to the Premier League and Olympic glory—remains one of Nigerian football’s most inspiring narratives. Now, as 22Bet’s Pan-African Brand Ambassador, that story continues with a clear focus on giving back to the community and nurturing the next generation of football stars.
