Fegge Roundabout Aglow with Festive Spirit
The company has adorned the Fegge Roundabout in Onitsha with sparkling Christmas lights, turning it into a vibrant and colorful focal point. This initiative significantly enhances the city's holiday atmosphere, bringing a sense of warmth and celebration to the bustling area. It is important to note that this roundabout was originally constructed by HELLO Energy in 2023 as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, aligning with Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo's broader development plans for the state.
Bringing Joy and Hope to the Neighborhood
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HELLO Energy, Okide Ezigbo, explained the motivation behind the festive decoration. A lawyer by training, Ezigbo stated that the primary goal is to "bring the joy, hope, and excitement of the holiday season to children in the neighborhood." He emphasized that for many of these children, such magical, fairytale-like moments are a rare experience, making the initiative particularly meaningful.

Ezigbo further elaborated that the company's actions are guided by a core philosophy of Inclusive Capitalism. He described this approach as one that seeks to make investments which are not only economically viable but also create tangible social impact. "It is about touching lives, promoting positive values, and creating opportunities, even as capital is deployed for profit," Ezigbo remarked. Okide Ezigbo brings a wealth of international experience to his role, having previously held senior management positions at major Canadian firms like Bombardier Inc., Irving Oil, and Ontario Power. He is also an alumnus of the prestigious Kellogg School of Management, where he earned his MBA.
