Lafarge Africa Plc, a leading building solutions provider, has officially launched a major new brand initiative titled 'Beyond Buildings'. The campaign is designed to spotlight the company's extensive role and lasting impact on Nigeria's infrastructural growth over many decades.
A Legacy Forged in Nigeria's Foundation
Unveiling the campaign in Lagos, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge Africa Plc, Lolu Alade-Akinyemi, reflected on the company's deep-rooted history. He stated that for more than sixty years, the company's mission has extended far past merely manufacturing construction materials.
"We have partnered in building the very foundation of Nigeria's infrastructural development and its future," Alade-Akinyemi declared. He emphasized that through innovative solutions, Lafarge has supplied essential materials for countless landmark projects across the nation.
The CEO framed the 'Beyond Buildings' campaign as a celebration of several key pillars:
- Strength and innovation in the construction sector.
- The company's history, which began in 1960 with its first production factory.
- Shared success with communities and the nation.
- The transformative power of progress.
More Than Concrete: Jobs, Communities, and Capacity
Alade-Akinyemi detailed that Lafarge's impact is measured not just in structures, but in human and economic development. The company's expansion of production capacity nationwide has led to significant job creation and livelihood opportunities.
"This also extends to the expansion of our production capacity nationwide, creating jobs and livelihoods, bringing development to communities, and introducing innovative products to meet the ever-evolving construction needs of Nigeria," he explained.
He described the campaign as a confident step into a new era, stating, "We are celebrating our enduring legacy and committing to a new era of sustainable and innovative growth. This campaign empowers us to tell that story with confidence and clarity."
Reinforcing a Central Role in National Growth
Echoing the CEO's sentiments, the Commercial Director of Lafarge Africa Plc, Gbenga Onimowo, stressed that the campaign premiere was a crucial platform to share why the 'Beyond Buildings' narrative is essential.
Onimowo asserted that the initiative aims to reinforce the company's position at the heart of Nigeria's construction growth story since independence. This claim is backed by what he described as an extensive footprint of infrastructure development supported by Lafarge in every corner of the country.
The 'Beyond Buildings' campaign is positioned as a comprehensive testament to Lafarge Africa's integral role in shaping Nigeria's physical landscape and economic progress for over six decades.
