Nigerian Enamelware Plc has announced the passing of its Finance Director, Lawrence Iseh, who died on July 25, 2026 after a brief illness. The company confirmed the news in a statement signed by the Chairman, Chief Adebayo Ogunlesi, on Wednesday.
A Dedicated Leader
Iseh, aged 54, joined Nigerian Enamelware in 2008 and served as Finance Director for 12 years. He was described by management as a pillar of the company's financial operations and a mentor to many employees. 'Lawrence was not just a colleague but a brother. His dedication and integrity shaped our financial strategy for over a decade,' Ogunlesi said.
Contributions to the Company
During his tenure, Iseh oversaw the implementation of a new enterprise resource planning system that reduced operational costs by 15% and improved reporting accuracy. He also led the negotiation of a ₦2.5 billion loan facility in 2019 that funded the expansion of the company's production capacity in Ogun State. The project increased output by 30% and created 200 new jobs.
Industry Recognition
Iseh was a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and had served on the board of several professional bodies. He was known for his advocacy of transparency and corporate governance reforms in the manufacturing sector.
Plans for Succession
Nigerian Enamelware said it has activated its succession plan and appointed Mrs. Funmi Adeyemi, the Deputy Finance Director, as acting Finance Director with immediate effect. The company assured stakeholders that operations would continue smoothly.

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) issued a statement praising Iseh's contributions to the development of the local manufacturing industry. Iseh is survived by his wife and three children. A private funeral service is scheduled for August 5, 2026.
