QNET Nigeria Underscores Vital Role of Clear Consumer Communication
QNET Nigeria, a prominent direct selling and lifestyle company, has emphasized the paramount importance of transparent and effective communication between businesses and consumers. This message was delivered at the World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD) event organized by the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA), where the firm addressed key challenges in the Nigerian market.
Misinformation Identified as Major Business Challenge
According to Ayokunmi Solesi, General Manager of QNET Nigeria, misinformation stands as one of the most significant obstacles facing companies in Nigeria today. He stressed that beyond mere regulatory compliance, businesses must take proactive and deliberate steps to educate consumers about product usage and their operational models. This approach, he argued, is essential for fostering trust and clarity in the marketplace.
During a panel discussion titled “Manufacturer and Trader Responsibilities in Ensuring Product Safety Through Regulatory Compliance,” Solesi elaborated that consumer protection is not just a regulatory requirement but a crucial driver of economic confidence. He highlighted that as a global entity, QNET ensures its products in Nigeria meet the same standards as those in Europe, with certifications from bodies like the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
Commitment to Product Quality and Consumer Safety
Solesi maintained that QNET does not encounter issues with substandard products, as all offerings adhere to international standards. However, he pointed out that misinformation often leads to confusion about the company’s operations, which can undermine consumer trust. To combat this, he advised the public to purchase directly from QNET’s official platform to avoid counterfeit goods and make informed decisions.
“Consumers should visit our official website to access detailed product information and make purchases directly. This eliminates risks associated with middlemen, which often increase the chances of encountering substandard products,” Solesi added, reiterating the firm’s dedication to ethical business practices and consumer protection.
Strategic Partnership with LASCOPA
Solesi described QNET’s collaboration with LASCOPA as a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing consumer awareness and dispelling misconceptions about its business model. This partnership focuses on educating the public about QNET’s operations while promoting responsible direct selling practices.
“We want consumers to clearly understand what we stand for. QNET is a global lifestyle and wellness company operating within the direct selling space, providing individuals with opportunities to sell our products,” he explained. He noted ongoing challenges with misinformation, particularly false associations with Ponzi schemes, and clarified that the company’s focus is strictly on product sales, not recruitment-based commissions.
“We are not into recruitment. We do not pay commissions without product sales. Our focus is strictly on selling quality products, and individuals earn only when they sell these products,” Solesi emphasized, underscoring the firm’s commitment to integrity and transparency in all its dealings.
