Consumer goods companies have continued to contend with rising inflation, high energy costs, and foreign exchange volatility, which have increased production and distribution costs. These pressures have forced manufacturers to raise product prices, creating additional challenges for consumers. However, relative stability in the foreign exchange market has helped reduce exceptional forex losses on companies' books. Deleveraging through capital raising has also helped some companies strengthen their balance sheets, supporting improved profitability.
