Toyota Nigeria Limited (TNL) has reaffirmed its commitment to putting customers at the centre of its operations as it celebrated 30 years of business in Nigeria. The announcement was made by the Managing Director, Kunle Ade-Ojo, during the 2026 Toyota Awards and Customers' Night held in Lagos.
Speaking at the event, Ade-Ojo stated that the company's three decades of success have been built on a consistent focus on customer satisfaction, quality service and long-term partnerships. The gathering brought together customers, dealers, government officials, business partners, media practitioners and other stakeholders, serving as both a celebration of the milestone anniversary and an opportunity to reward loyal customers and strategic partners.
“Tonight is a moment of reflection, celebration and renewed commitment. For us at Toyota Nigeria, this yearly gathering is more than a tradition. It is a deliberate expression of our enduring philosophy of putting the customer first. It provides a unique platform to honour the loyalty, trust and partnership that have defined our journey over the years,” he said.
Reflecting on the company's growth since its establishment in 1996, Ade-Ojo noted that Toyota Nigeria has evolved from modest beginnings into one of the country's most trusted automotive brands through resilience, innovation and unwavering dedication to customer value. He acknowledged the economic challenges facing businesses and consumers in the country, but assured customers that Toyota Nigeria would continue to introduce innovative and customer-friendly initiatives aimed at making vehicle ownership more accessible.
Ade-Ojo expressed appreciation to the company's dealers, customers, suppliers, consultants, financial institutions, employees and other stakeholders whose support contributed to Toyota Nigeria's success over the past three decades. “The journey of the past 30 years would not have been possible without the unwavering support and contributions of our stakeholders,” he said.
He also acknowledged the support of Toyota Motor Corporation and the company's board led by Chairman and founder, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo. The anniversary celebration also featured the presentation of awards to outstanding customers, dealers and journalists.
