Alles Charis Gas Launches 500MT LPG Depot in Ore to Boost Clean Energy
New 500MT LPG Depot Launched in Ore, Ondo State

In a significant move to boost the use of cleaner energy nationwide, Alles Charis Gas Limited has officially opened a new 500-metric-tonne liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage facility in Ore, Ondo State.

A Strategic Step for Cleaner Energy Access

This new depot, commissioned on 20 November 2025, is a direct response to the Federal Government's push to increase national LPG consumption. The project is strategically positioned along a major interstate route that connects the South-South region to the Southwest and Northern markets.

According to Peter Fayomi, the General Manager of Projects at Alles Charis Gas Limited, this facility is a key milestone. He emphasized that it enhances supply security across the Southwest, drives operational efficiency, and strengthens Nigeria's overall LPG infrastructure.

Driving Economic and Social Impact

The company's General Manager for Logistics Operations, Tomiwa Oluwafemi, highlighted that the investment goes beyond just infrastructure. He stated that the depot is about empowering local communities, making clean energy more accessible and affordable, and sparking new economic activities.

By reducing transportation times for LPG trucks and strengthening last-mile distribution, the facility is expected to have a transformative effect. Key benefits include:

  • Stimulating job creation in the region.
  • Supporting local small businesses that rely on gas for their operations.
  • Reducing dependence on traditional biomass fuels, which will lead to better public health and environmental sustainability.

Built for Future Expansion

A notable feature of the Ore depot is its design for future growth. The facility has provisions to be expanded to a capacity of 2,000 metric tonnes. This foresight ensures it can meet rising demand and continue to support stability within Nigeria's domestic LPG value chain for years to come.
