President Tinubu Launches Major Development Projects in Bayelsa State
In a significant event attended by thousands of residents and dignitaries, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated three key projects in Bayelsa State on April 11, 2026. The highlight was the commissioning of a 60-megawatt independent gas-powered turbine, aimed at boosting the state's energy capacity and supporting industrial growth.

Alongside the gas turbine, President Tinubu commissioned several critical infrastructure projects. These include the Sagbama-Ekeremor Road, the dualised new Yenagoa City Road, and the Yenagoa-Oporoma-Ukubie Road. Additionally, the iconic 630-metre Angiama-Oporoma Bridge, a project promised by the Federal Government over six decades ago, was officially opened, marking a historic achievement for the region.
