Philanthropist and community development advocate, Sheriff Olasheni Ajaga, has reiterated his commitment to humanitarian services and youth empowerment initiatives in Lagos through his company, Global Stanza Nigeria Ltd, and the Sheriff Olasheni Ajaga Foundation (SOAF).
Targeting Vulnerable Groups
The foundation stated that its programmes are targeted at vulnerable groups, including widows, elderly residents, youths, artisans, traders, and students across communities in Lagos State. According to the organisation, its interventions include scholarship support for indigent students, distribution of JAMB and UTME forms to prospective candidates, as well as vocational and skill acquisition programmes aimed at improving employability and entrepreneurship among youths and women.
Welfare and Relief Efforts
The foundation also provides welfare support for elderly citizens and relief materials for widows and low-income households facing economic challenges. Ajaga, an alumnus of Lagos State University, also received business training at the London Business School. He said the foundation would continue to support community-based initiatives focused on education, economic empowerment, and welfare support for disadvantaged residents.
