A Lagos-based entrepreneur, Ochiora Donatus Tochukwu, has emphasized that a continuous pursuit of learning and a deep desire to innovate to address human needs inspired his investment in the fragrance market.
Journey into Fragrance
Speaking with The Guardian, Tochukwu, founder of Dontus Perfume Oil, stated that rigorous efforts combined with traveling to different countries and learning about their cultures contributed to the brand's success in Nigeria's economy. He disclosed that the raw materials for the brand's undiluted oil perfumes are sourced directly from France.
He added that the brand's growing influence for over 10 years within the fragrance market reflects its Unique Selling Points (USP) of eradicating bad smell and promoting good health through quality fragrances that help people feel confident and presentable every day.
Vision Beyond Sales
According to Tochukwu, the vision behind Dontus Perfume Oil extends beyond fragrance sales. "Our long-term vision is to establish local production of undiluted oil perfumes in Nigeria while creating employment opportunities for young people across the country," he said.
Tochukwu explained that as part of its expansion plans, the brand aims to strengthen nationwide awareness about the importance of good hygiene and personal care.
