UNIZIK Alumni & Enterprise Life Champion Financial Inclusion at 30th Anniversary
UNIZIK Alumni, Enterprise Life Partner for Financial Inclusion

The Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Alumni Association has marked a significant milestone by joining forces with Enterprise Life Assurance Nigeria to champion the cause of financial inclusion and future preparedness. This strategic partnership was officially unveiled during the association's three-day 30th-anniversary celebration held in Lagos.

A Celebration of Legacy and Future Trends

The landmark event, which ran from October 24 to 26 at the Welcome Centre Hotels in Lagos, was themed "The Future is Now: Harnessing Emerging Trends for Impact." It served as a powerful convergence point for distinguished alumni, top-tier business leaders, and influential policymakers. The agenda was packed with insightful lectures, prestigious award ceremonies, and dynamic networking sessions, all designed to foster collaboration and instill a robust culture of financial security among Nigerians.

Key Voices on Financial Preparedness

The gathering was graced by a host of notable figures, including Dr. Chidi Anyaegbu, Chairman and CEO of Chisco Group; Chief Dr. Elizabeth Ifeyinwa, Co-founder of Didi Museum; Onyebuchi Ochuba, Chairman of the Convention Committee; and Dr. Ukechukwu Umeh, the Chief Host.

During the event, Tobechukwu Nzekwu, the Branch Manager of Enterprise Life Nigeria, delivered a compelling address on the critical importance of financial preparedness. He underscored the indispensable role of insurance in guaranteeing long-term stability and peace of mind. "Insurance is not just a safety net; it's a mindset of readiness," Nzekwu stated. "At Enterprise Life, we are helping people build confidence for tomorrow by making protection simple, personal, and purposeful."

This sentiment was strongly echoed by Obieneme Victor, CEO of Torka Resources Limited and Founder of the UNIZIK Alumni Lagos State branch. He passionately urged fellow alumni members to adopt insurance as a proactive financial instrument. Victor advised moving away from the common practice of relying on ad hoc crowdfunding during emergencies and instead embracing planned financial protection.

Reaffirming Commitment to Empowerment

The celebration powerfully reaffirmed the alumni association's unwavering dedication to fostering unity among its members and preserving its core cultural values. Furthermore, it highlighted a shared mission with Enterprise Life to drive social and economic empowerment by providing accessible and relevant insurance solutions. This partnership signals a concrete step towards building a more financially resilient community, aligning personal security with national economic growth.
