Nigerian billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has added a N98 billion (£53 million) mansion to his international real estate portfolio. The property, a 10-bedroom house in London's exclusive St John's Wood district, was purchased in late 2025, according to UK property filings.
Details of the Acquisition
The lavish home is located a short distance from Regent's Park and sits in one of London's most elite residential addresses, home to some of the world's ultra-wealthy. Bloomberg reports that the acquisition was finalized in late 2025. A spokesman for Otedola did not respond to questions about the purchase.
DJ Cuppy's Birthday Wish
The acquisition comes months after Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, known professionally as DJ Cuppy, requested the property from her father as a birthday present. On her 33rd birthday on November 11, 2025, Cuppy told her father: "Daddy, I would like the St. John's Wood house. I'll only turn 33 once."
Otedola, chairman of Geregu Power Plc and one of Nigeria's richest men, has been expanding his wealth across energy, finance, and luxury real estate in the Middle East and Europe. He also owns properties in Lagos, Dubai, and Monaco. Recently, he purchased two houses in Dubai for his daughter Temi Otedola as wedding gifts. Temi, a fashion personality and actress, is married to Nigerian musician Mr Eazi.
Otedola's Wealth
Otedola is Nigeria's fourth richest man with a net worth of $1.4 billion, ranking 2,858th globally. According to Forbes, he made his first fortune in commodities before selling his shares in Forte Oil to invest in the energy business, Geregu Power.
