PropTech Firm Launches Ambitious Recruitment Drive
A housing innovation company has revealed plans to recruit more than 500 certified builders and developers from across Nigeria in a significant effort to address the country's substantial housing shortage and improve access to affordable homes.
The initiative, announced by Homes on Demand, a PropTech-driven firm, represents one of Africa's most ambitious housing transformation movements. The project aims to establish a transparent, technology-powered construction ecosystem that seamlessly connects design, development, and delivery processes.

Speaking during a media briefing over the weekend in Ilorin, the Chief Executive Officer of Homes on Demand, Mallam Bashir Yusuf, explained that the project was specifically designed to revolutionize how homes are built, financed, and managed throughout Africa.
"This idea emerged from our determination to make homeownership simpler, smarter, and more transparent," Yusuf stated. "We are not merely constructing houses; we are building a completely new way of life where technology and trust form the foundation of every home."
He detailed how the platform's SmartSite Dashboard and Construction Playbook will enable clients to digitally order, customize, and monitor their home projects from any location worldwide.
Eliminating Traditional Construction Challenges
According to the CEO, this digital approach effectively eliminates persistent traditional problems that have long hampered housing delivery in Nigeria, including project delays, poor quality work, distrust among stakeholders, and corruption.
The company will officially launch its nationwide builder recruitment network on 10 November 2025, inviting licensed builders, developers, and construction professionals to join its expanding digital ecosystem.
Yusuf clarified that recruited professionals will operate as strategic partners rather than employees, all working under a unified standard of quality, ethics, and transparency.
"This represents more than just recruitment—it's a partnership movement," he emphasized. "This is an opportunity for Nigerian builders and developers to position themselves at the forefront of Africa's next housing revolution."
The CEO further highlighted that every project completed under the Homes on Demand framework will support local job creation, sustainability practices, and digital financial inclusion through fully traceable and transparent systems.
The initiative is expected to stimulate Nigeria's housing economy, expand professional opportunities for builders, and promote a new culture of ethical construction standards across Africa.
"This movement is fundamentally about rewriting Africa's housing narrative—one where excellence becomes the standard and integrity remains non-negotiable," Bashir concluded.
