The Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reform has identified a select group of digital influencers to become official ambassadors for the nation's new tax laws. The committee's chairman, Taiwo Oyedele, has officially announced the names of the top twenty content creators who will receive specialised training.
From Over 200 Nominations to a Final 20
In a public message posted on his official X account on Friday, Oyedele confirmed the selection. He revealed that the committee received an overwhelming 8,591 public nominations for more than 200 different creators. The nomination window officially closed on 9 November 2025.
Oyedele expressed his deep appreciation for the widespread public participation in the exercise. "A big thank you to everyone who nominated a creator who has helped you understand Nigeria’s new tax reform laws or someone you believe should be part of the conversation," he stated.
The final 20 creators were chosen based on their combined followership across major social media platforms. The committee's goal is to equip them with accurate and in-depth knowledge of the recently enacted tax reforms.
The "Influencing for Good" Training Initiative
The upcoming programme, tagged "Influencing for Good," is designed to transform these popular voices into reliable sources of tax information. The selected creators will be invited to attend special training sessions in the coming weeks.
The core objective is to enhance their understanding of the complex new laws. This will enable them to share clearer, more balanced, and insightful explanations with their vast audiences, thereby combating misinformation.
Oyedele directly addressed the public and the chosen creators in his announcement. "If your favourite creator is on the list, tag or mention them and ask them to confirm their interest by completing this form," he instructed, providing a link. He also set a deadline for acceptance for Monday, 8 December 2025, and asked followers to suggest key issues for the training agenda.

- The Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Bill
- The Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Bill
The committee's move to engage content creators marks a significant shift towards using modern digital channels to ensure all Nigerians can access and comprehend these critical changes that affect businesses and individuals alike.
