Wema Bank Plc has reaffirmed its dedication to enhancing customer engagement as it marks the ninth anniversary of its digital banking platform, ALAT. In a statement, the bank highlighted that this milestone underscores its ongoing efforts to improve user experience and broaden access to innovative financial services through digital channels.

ALAT Journey and Evolution

Launched in 2017 as Africa's first fully digital bank, ALAT was created to overcome the limitations of traditional banking by offering a seamless platform for account opening, transactions, and financial management without the need for physical branch visits. Over the years, the platform has grown into a robust digital ecosystem that serves both individuals and businesses, with tailored solutions promoting savings, facilitating payments, and supporting financial inclusion.

Anniversary Campaign: ALAT at 9

To celebrate the anniversary, Wema Bank unveiled the "ALAT at 9" campaign, a month-long initiative featuring customer-focused activities, rewards, and interactive engagements designed to boost user participation. New features include "ALAT Wrapped," which gives customers a personalized summary of their platform activities, and the "9 Features in 9 Days" challenge to encourage consistent engagement. The bank also announced that customers completing their ninth transaction at exactly 9:00 a.m. or 9:00 p.m. during the campaign period will receive instant rewards. Additionally, a jingle challenge has been introduced to foster creative participation.

Campaign Duration and Participation

The anniversary activities commenced on May 2 and will run through May 31. The bank urged customers to participate by updating or downloading the application from relevant app stores. The celebration highlights Wema Bank's leadership in digital banking and its ongoing commitment to innovation and service delivery.
