Justice Umaru Abdullahi, the Amirul Hajj and leader of the Katsina State delegation to this year's Hajj, has expressed satisfaction with the facilities put in place at the Umaru Yar'Adua International Airport, Katsina. He made the remarks shortly after leading other members of the delegation on an inspection tour of the airport's facilities.
The Walin Hausa was particularly pleased with the report that Katsina International Airport boasts the best landing and take-off facilities in the country. While commending the state governor for his foresight in appointing capable hands to the delegation, Justice Abdullahi promised that the team would do their best to ensure a successful Hajj operation.
Airport Management Commits to Security Network
Conducting the Amirul Hajj round the airport, the Head of Operations, Alhaji Saddiq Gusau, said the management is putting in place a security network to ensure a hitch-free airlift of intending pilgrims. He lauded the state government for supporting the authority in its effort to make this year's airlift a success.
Gusau's remarks highlighted the collaborative approach between the airport authority and the state government, underscoring the importance of seamless logistics for the thousands of pilgrims expected to depart from Katsina.
Call for Unity Among Government Officials
Meanwhile, government officials assigned to this year's Hajj in Katsina State have been called upon to work hand in hand to ensure the success of the Hajj exercise. The call reinforces the need for coordinated efforts among all stakeholders involved in the pilgrimage operations.
The inspection and the subsequent appeals come as part of broader preparations for the annual pilgrimage, which involves significant logistical coordination. The state's commitment to improving airport infrastructure reflects its dedication to providing a comfortable experience for pilgrims.
