The Nigeria Association of Tour Operators (NATOP) has officially inaugurated its Ibadan chapter, marking a significant expansion into Oyo State. The event, held yesterday, was led by the association's National President, Hajia Bolaji Mustapha, with support from the Vice President of the South West Zone, Osho Anago.
Milestone Achievement for NATOP
In a statement released by NATOP, President Mustapha described the inauguration as a milestone achievement, noting that it is the first time the association has established a presence in Oyo State. She emphasized that this development represents a remarkable achievement for the NATOP South West Zone, showcasing the region's growth and commitment to advancing tourism operations.
Recognition of Key Contributors
Speaking at the event, Anago expressed gratitude for the encouragement, cooperation, and support received from President Mustapha. He lauded her visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to the growth of NATOP. Anago further extended heartfelt thanks to Dr. Tunji Akib, Welfare Director of NATOP South West Zone, and Mrs. Doris Godson, Lagos State Coordinator, for their dedication and support throughout the process. Special appreciation was given to Mr. Ayo of Flyzone Tourism for his immense contribution to the success of the event.
Anago also acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of Mrs. Tobiloba Bamisaye, Membership Secretary of the South West Zone; Alhaja Taiwo Mufuliat Omokunmi (also known as Alhaja Mahib); and Michael Balogun for their valuable support and encouragement. Sincere appreciation was extended to Mahogany Hotel and Suites, Jericho, Ibadan, for hosting this historic occasion.
The inauguration of the Ibadan chapter is expected to boost tourism activities in Oyo State and strengthen NATOP's presence in the South West region.
