Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), has made a heartfelt appeal to stranded Nigerian families living in South Africa to return to their homeland. In a bid to facilitate their return, the cleric has acquired a mini estate in Port Harcourt to provide them with accommodation.
Disturbing Videos Prompt Action
The decision, according to the cleric, was motivated by distressing videos showing Nigerians allegedly being attacked and killed in South Africa. Having witnessed another troubling case recently, he felt compelled to intervene.
He emphasized that the housing support is exclusively for stranded Nigerian married couples with children who have no place to go after spending years abroad. Tribe or religion will not be a factor, as long as they are Nigerians in need.
Support Package for Returnees
Apostle Chibuzor explained that affected families will undergo screening and verification of their travel documents at OPM before receiving free accommodation in the newly acquired estate. Additionally, the children of returnees will be enrolled in OPM’s free schools. Wives will receive support to start small businesses, while husbands will be trained in various skills at OPM’s skill acquisition centers to help them restart their lives in Nigeria.
Furthermore, the cleric stated that families will be provided with one meal daily. While OPM cannot afford flight tickets due to high costs, he appealed to the Nigerian government and airlines to assist stranded Nigerians with transportation back home.
Message of Hope
Apostle Chibuzor encouraged affected Nigerians not to lose hope, assuring them that returning home does not mean sleeping on the streets. Arrangements have been made to help them rebuild their lives.
