MFM Ajah's 'Ten Family for Christ' Outreach Transforms Lives of Area Boys and Street Children
In a significant effort to reach underserved and vulnerable populations, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Ajah executed a comprehensive community outreach program in the Ten Family area of Ajah, Lagos State. The initiative, aptly named 'Ten Family for Christ', provided essential support to hundreds of residents, including so-called 'area boys' and street children, through a blend of practical aid and spiritual renewal.
Comprehensive Support for the Community
The outreach featured a multifaceted approach designed to address both physical and spiritual needs. Key components included:
- Food gifting to alleviate hunger among participants.
- Distribution of 150 free Bibles to encourage spiritual growth.
- A free medical outreach offering blood pressure and random sugar checks to promote health awareness.
- Soul-lifting music and transformative messages to inspire hope.
- Prayers for deliverance from spiritual bondage, emphasizing holistic well-being.
Part of a Broader Evangelism Vision
This program is an integral part of the church's Explosive Evangelism Initiative (EEI), a vision spearheaded by Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, General Overseer of MFM Worldwide. The primary goals are to win souls for Christ and encourage youths to abandon detrimental behaviors such as drug use and smoking, which pose threats to families and society at large.
Mega Regional Overseer (MRO) of MFM Ajah, Pastor Enojiasun Irabor, underscored the church's mission to bring hope to the hopeless, depopulate the kingdom of darkness, and transform lives for positive societal impact. He stated, 'We seek to create a ripple effect of change that extends beyond individual lives to the wider community.'
Focus on Youth Transformation
Pastor (Mrs.) Olufunmilayo Ojo, Mega Regional Administrator, alongside Pastor Dotun Sonde, Head of the Hospital and Healing Ministry, Bro. Ambrose Ogboru, and Evangelism Leader Evangelist Richard Austine, highlighted the program's emphasis on guiding youths away from alcohol and substance abuse. Their collective efforts aim to steer young people toward a new life in Christ, fostering resilience and positive choices.
Evangelist Austine reported a remarkable outcome, with over 200 individuals giving their lives to Jesus during the outreach. He explained, 'This program offers hope to the hopeless, homeless, and 'Agberos'—those often marginalized by society. We minister salvation and empower them to become agents of transformation in their own communities.'
Combining Practical Assistance with Spiritual Renewal
Through initiatives like 'Ten Family for Christ', MFM Ajah continues to merge tangible support with spiritual guidance, aiming to effect lasting change. By addressing immediate needs such as food and healthcare while promoting spiritual awakening, the church strives to transform both individuals and the broader societal landscape, reinforcing its commitment to holistic community development.
