In a powerful message of hope delivered during the November monthly thanksgiving service, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has urged Nigerians to place their complete trust in God for survival despite the country's challenging economic situation.
Divine Assurance in Economic Uncertainty
The prominent religious leader addressed congregants at the RCCG headquarters, The Throne of Grace in Ebute-Metta, Lagos, on November 15, 2025. Speaking on the theme 'From Waiting to Winning', Adeboye delivered a strong assurance to all Nigerians who maintain faith in the true and living God.
"No matter the current state of the economy, those who trust in God will not be moved," declared the respected clergyman. He emphasized that divine power possesses the unique ability to fast-forward future blessings into the present moment, meaning what is destined to happen later can be made to occur now through God's intervention.
The Virtue of Patient Waiting
While delivering his spiritual message, Pastor Adeboye also highlighted the importance of patience in the journey of faith. He cautioned believers against running ahead of God's timing, reassuring them that God is never too late in fulfilling His promises.
Quoting extensively from scriptures, the RCCG leader admonished those who have received divine promises to wait patiently for their manifestation. He firmly stated that God will never fail those who put their trust in Him, regardless of how long the waiting period might seem.
During the service, special prayers were offered for various groups including singles, mature singles of both genders, waiting mothers, expectant mothers, and their family members.
Call to Reject Evil Practices
Adding to Pastor Adeboye's spiritual message, Dele Balogun, the Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration and Pastor in charge of Region, called on Nigerians to abandon evil ways and ungodly practices.
"My further counsel to every Nigerian is: Do away with pretense and hypocrisy because God does not look at the face and mere action but the heart," Balogun stated emphatically.
He specifically mentioned the need to shun corruption, kidnapping, and other ungodly practices that have plagued the nation. The church official encouraged citizens to maintain genuine faith, declaring that "Our waiting time is over in this nation" for those who believe in God's power to transform their circumstances.
The combined messages from both church leaders emphasized that spiritual solutions and moral uprightness remain essential for navigating through Nigeria's current challenges, offering hope to millions of believers across the country.
