A Nigerian prophet has issued a startling warning about the popular Hallelujah Challenge, claiming that everyone who participated in the online prayer program needs immediate spiritual deliverance.
The Controversial Claim
Prophet Ustawi made these explosive allegations through a TikTok video that has since gone viral across social media platforms. According to the cleric, participants in Pastor Nathaniel Bassey's Hallelujah Challenge have been unknowingly recruited into secret affairs within the kingdom of darkness.
The prophet insisted that affected individuals must seek God's intervention, healing, and deliverance to separate their souls from what he described as the strange spirit behind the challenge.
Alleged Dark Origins Revealed
Prophet Ustawi provided specific details about the alleged spiritual origins of the Hallelujah Challenge. He claimed the program is connected to a foreign goddess named Kaarthyayani, who is symbolised by a buffalo.
Even the popular 'Dress like your miracle' aspect of the challenge came under scrutiny. The prophet described this element as a deliberate design from the kingdom of darkness, despite organizers using Acts 16:25 as their biblical reference.
In his detailed explanation, Ustawi stated: "The origin of this midnight enchantment is connected to the goddess Kaarthyayani that is worshipped in cultic and ritualistic rites performed by believers worldwide."
Public Reaction and Backlash
The prophet's warning has generated mixed reactions from Nigerians, with many social media users openly trolling his claims and expressing their continued support for the Hallelujah Challenge.
Several commenters declared their intention to participate in future editions of the program. One user named Tom's commented: "Long live hallelujah challenge, still waiting for another hallelujah challenge very ready to join even if now."
Another social media user, Miss ree, responded defiantly: "I can't wait to join hallelujah challenge February next year for me to be also recruited again in the cult."
The divided reactions highlight the ongoing spiritual debates within Nigerian Christian circles about the nature and safety of popular religious programs.
Meanwhile, the Hallelujah Challenge continues to attract massive participation across Nigeria and among the diaspora community, with many testifying to positive spiritual experiences through the program.
