Nigerian media entrepreneur Florence Hungbo, widely known as Bodex Hungbo, has successfully earned her second academic degree from the prestigious University of Lagos (UNILAG). The accomplished businesswoman, who serves as chairperson of Bodex Group International, was among the thousands of graduands celebrated during the institution's 56th Convocation Ceremony held at the Akoka campus in Lagos State.

"My first degree was in Industrial Chemistry. Having a second degree that aligns with what I do is intentional. I want my name attached to every positive success," Hungbo explained during the convocation proceedings.

Balancing rigorous classroom demands with managing multiple business ventures required exceptional time management and discipline. "I love media, but I didn't study media in school," she revealed. "I had practical experience, but I wanted my education to match my practice."

As a prominent voice in Nigeria's digital media ecosystem and convener of the influential Bodex Social Media Hangout, Hungbo emphasized the critical role education plays in combating misinformation and establishing credible influence in today's media landscape.
"You can't just speak without knowledge," she asserted. "Education helps you understand alignment, credibility, and how to manage fake news."
Hungbo believes that formal education provides media professionals with essential tools to navigate the complexities of digital communication, distinguish factual information from false narratives, and maintain ethical standards in content dissemination.

During the sixth edition of the Bodex Social Media Hangout hosted at UNILAG, she engaged over 1,200 students on topics including social media for social good, personal development strategies, and the intersection of creativity with artificial intelligence.
Looking forward, Hungbo announced ambitious plans for a nationwide digital media school tour. This initiative aims to equip Nigerian students with practical media skills through direct engagements with experienced journalists, influential content creators, and established media professionals.

Among the notable graduands was 78-year-old Dr. Hammid Taju, who obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in French, demonstrating that educational pursuit knows no age boundaries. Additionally, Oba Sulaimon Bangbande, the Olofin of Isheri, graduated with a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering, highlighting the diverse academic accomplishments celebrated during the event.
