Rachisols Foundation Launches 'Project Enlighten', Renovates Ilupeju Public Library
Project Enlighten: Ilupeju Public Library Gets Major Facelift

In a significant boost for community education and literacy, the Rachisols Foundation (RSF) has officially launched its ambitious 'Project Enlighten' initiative. The project's first major achievement is the comprehensive renovation and modernization of the Ilupeju Public Library in Lagos State.

A New Chapter for Learning in Ilupeju

The newly transformed library was unveiled on 18 December 2025 at a ceremony graced by community leaders and education stakeholders. Key dignitaries in attendance included the Vice-Chairman of Odi-Olowo Council, Niyi Awodogan, and the Librarian, Mrs Kehinde Balogun.

Anthony Agbator, the Education Appendage Lead for RSF, addressed the gathering. He explained that Project Enlighten is designed to communicate both the tangible and intangible aspects of education. The goal is to create a system that makes knowledge easily accessible, fosters awareness, and empowers individuals. This initiative directly supports academic success while inspiring intellectual and personal growth for all users.

Vision for a Literate Lagos

The foundation has set a clear and impactful target: to remodel at least 10 public libraries across Lagos State by the end of 2030. This effort forms a core part of the foundation's broader education appendage plan. The renovated Ilupeju library is now expected to serve as a conducive hub for learning, positively impacting the lives of students and avid readers in the community.

Speaking at the event, Mr Taye Ige, Chief Executive Officer of HS Media Group, underscored the critical importance of education. Council Vice-Chairman Niyi Awodogan commended the Rachisols Foundation for its dedicated efforts toward improving education standards and promoting literacy in Lagos State.

Inspiring the Next Generation

The launch event was made particularly vibrant with the participation of local secondary school students. They engaged in a quiz competition and were among the first to experience the new facilities of the renovated library firsthand. This direct involvement is symbolic of the project's core mission: to inspire a new generation of readers, thinkers, and future leaders.

The foundation believes that such initiatives are crucial for the overall development of the community. By providing modern, inviting spaces for study and discovery, Project Enlighten aims to reignite a passion for reading and continuous learning among Lagos residents.
