The Managing Director of Nouvelle Perspective, Jim Okolo, has been honoured with the fellowship of Forensic Guards Nigeria and the Forensic Ambassadors Academy Africa, adding to his numerous recognitions. The award was conferred at the maiden National Forensic Science Debate Competition held at Government Science Secondary School, Abuja, under the theme “Forensic Science is Better Taught in Tertiary Institutions than Secondary Schools.” The event aimed to raise awareness about the critical role of forensic science in education.
Financial Support for Forensic Science Initiatives
In support of the organisation’s vision, Okolo made a financial donation to Forensic Guards Nigeria and the Forensic Ambassadors Academy Africa to advance their programmes. He also presented separate donations to students who participated in the debate, praising their courage, eloquence, and commitment to academic excellence.
Advocating Early Exposure to Specialised Fields
Okolo commended the organisation for introducing young people to forensic science principles. He stated that exposing children to specialised fields early broadens their horizons, inspires innovation, and prepares them to contribute to national development. He encouraged education stakeholders to support initiatives promoting practical learning and critical thinking, stressing that investing in youth intellectual growth secures a prosperous future for the country.
Previous Accolades and Partnerships
This honour follows his induction as an implementation partner for the Nigeria Air Force Directorate of Peace Support Operations last year. The UN-accredited election observer was decorated at NAF headquarters, pledging to advocate for global peace. Additionally, Nouvelle Perspective, alongside AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, the European Union Delegation to Nigeria, and the Embassy Union Delegation, was recently accredited by INEC as an authorised election observation organisation.
